Caught My Eye: Graduation
May 29 2015 ·0Tis the season for graduations and this weekend I will be attending two high school graduation parties. Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite graduation inspired gifts, decor, and more…
A Poem & A Painting: Watercolor Flowers
May 26 2015 ·0As you know, we worked hard to include many special details in the design of Em & Nick’s wedding. One of these details was hand-painted cards for each guest table number. I painted the flowers and Em added the table numbers with her beautiful calligraphy. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to come up with enough flowers I could paint (well), but somehow I did and we were pleased with the special touch they added…
Happy Memorial Day
May 25 2015 ·0Remembering those who served and reflecting on their sacrifice…
Caught My Eye, Vol. 54
May 22 2015 ·0Happy Memorial Day weekend! It’s the unofficial start to Summer and I couldn’t be happier. As we pause to remember those who died fighting for our freedom, let us also celebrate that freedom and our pride in living in this great country. Along those lines, here a few Red, White, and Blue things that Caught My Eye this week (with a Posh twist, of course)…
New Store Opening: Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams in Natick!
May 21 2015 ·0The brand new Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams Home Furnishings store in Natick is breathtaking. The new building, the new Spring/ Summer pieces and the staff are all, as we’ve come to expect, outstanding. I’ve written several times in the past about my love for Mitchell Gold on my blog (here and here for example). I adore everything about them: their mission statement, the fact that their products are made here in the grand ol USA, and their reasonably priced yet cutting edge designs for all.
Come take a peek at the new Natick store…
A Painting & A Poem: Kate At The Beach
May 18 2015 ·0In honor of my mini getaway to Florida with my sister Kate, I thought I’d repost a watercolor painting I did of her at the beach several Summers ago. We always have the best time together, but especially when we’re at the beach!

May 15 2015 ·0Still in recovery mode from Em’s wedding, but here are a few of the things that Caught My Eye this week…
Wedding Monday
May 11 2015 ·0My feet are just now starting to touch the ground after this weekend ~ It’s hard to believe that after months of planning and anticipation, Em & Nick are married!! It was an amazingly wonderful day and Emily was the most beautiful bride. Much more to come (of course!), but for now a little peek at the ceremony flowers…
Caught My Eye, Vol. 52
May 08 2015 ·0I can’t believe that Em’s wedding weekend is finally upon us! We’ve arrived in Newport, RI safe and sound and the festivities are underway. I did want to pop in and share a few of the things that Caught My Eye this week ~ after all it was Derby Day and the Met Ball, how can I resist?
Bunny Williams, Furnishing the Garden in Boston
May 06 2015 ·0Last week we were lucky enough to have elite designer Bunny Williams visit the Boston Design Center. During a beautiful presentation, Ms. Williams presented her new Furnishings for the Garden from Century Furniture.
I have had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Williams before and her gracious, warm, and elegant qualities are inspiring. Her manner of speaking is a bit ‘Southern’ with a slower cadence than us New Englanders ~ but when Bunny Williams speaks, we all listen.
Ms. Williams is well known for her beautiful interior designs that combine traditional style, restraint, and balance as well as a patina from one-of-a-kind antiques. She has published several books including her latest, an updated version of On Garden Style.
A Poem & A Painting: The Dress
May 04 2015 ·0The final countdown is here! In 6 days until my little girl Emily and her fiancé Nick say I Do!
I knew this day would come, was coming, but I am still feeling very sentimental about this giant step. Emily will become a wife and and at some point, a mother. She will have other people relying on her and there will be a new dynamic in our family…and yet will there be? After all, she’ll always be my little girl and I’ll always be her Mom. I am so excited to welcome Nick and his family into ours. He makes my sweet girl so happy and brings so much joy to her life. He is a great friend to my son Freddy and to me.
