“The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.”
~Barack Obama
This week I am in Guatemala with Kelly and her team through CRI. Before we left, Kelly sent us a photo of the family we will be building a home for…
Seeing this photo inspired me even more for our mission to build a home for this deserving family. The fact that we are building for a single mom and her two children is very close to my heart. Of course I was going to bring coloring books and crayons but after seeing this photo and noting the ages of the children (particularly the daughter who is 17), I thought nail polish and lipsticks may be more appropriate. Leave it to me to try to glam up Guatemala!
I am so looking forward to connecting with this family and being part of this wonderful mission trip! I’ll have lots to share when I return next week. Once again, thank you for your support ~ your good thoughts, your prayers and your financial support. I am truly blessed!
