The Envoy Hotel: A Boston Waterfront Luxury Hotel Experience

During the whirlwind that was the Boston Design Market and the opening of my art exhibit at the FDO Group showroom, I opted to simply things a bit and I booked myself a hotel room for two nights at the Envoy Hotel in the Seaport District of Boston. What a treat it was! Not only is this boutique property (part of the Autograph Collection by Marriott) luxurious and well-located, it is a treat for Interior Designers and design lovers alike. Come and take a peek with me…
“On the Way to Everywhere” is the message that greets you as you enter the Envoy Hotel. This is definitely a chic, modern, and sassy hotel.

The Lobby showcases not one but three(!) chandeliers. At first glance these fixtures are impressive and beautiful but upon further review they are actually AMAZING! Each chandelier is comprised of crystals, upcycled telephone cording, plastic reflective silver rectangles, and pearls ~ quite an elaborate and inventive design with big impact.

On my first night I arrived after a full day of seminars at the Boston Design Center. The aptly named Lookout Rooftop Bar was the perfect destination for a glass of wine. The scenery is breathtaking. Located just before a bridge and overlooking the water, the Envoy affords a stunning view of the Boston skyline. It was a balmy October night and the rooftop was uncrowded when I made my visit ~ I felt as if I was the only one there and that the view was just for me….
Perfect inspiration for a painting!
I loved the furnishings and fixtures at the Lookout. The design was spectacular. The “floor” lamps not only glowed different colors but also offered a bit of heat as well!
Guess which lamp I sat under?
After enjoying the view and my wine, it was onto my room. The “hotel gods” must’ve been looking over me because I was upgraded to a suite. Oh. My. Goodness. I wish I could’ve had some company come over ~ I had 3 bathrooms!
Upon entering, there was a semi-sectional sofa with tables and a small television.
In the next area the seating was bean bag chaises…
If one did want to have guests over, there was a dining table for four…
and a theater size TV!
The bedroom overlooked the city and was so comfortable~
The oversized Master Bathroom shower was designed with wood-look tiles which are so chic and clean lined.
The Powder Room, off one of the living rooms, was covered in floor to ceiling silver black penny tiles. What I truly loved were the towel fixtures. They were simply metal circles that the towels slid through ~ genius!
The Envoy Hotel is truly an experience. From the style to the craft cocktails and food to the stupendous view, the Envoy is a gem!
