As you know, we worked hard to include many special details in the design of Em & Nick’s wedding. One of these details was hand-painted cards for each guest table number. I painted the flowers and Em added the table numbers with her beautiful calligraphy. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to come up with enough flowers I could paint (well), but somehow I did and we were pleased with the special touch they added…

My feet are just now starting to touch the ground after this weekend ~ It’s hard to believe that after months of planning and anticipation, Em & Nick are married!! It was an amazingly wonderful day and Emily was the most beautiful bride. Much more to come (of course!), but for now a little peek at the ceremony flowers…

The final countdown is here! In 6 days until my little girl Emily and her fiancé Nick say I Do!

I knew this day would come, was coming, but I am still feeling very sentimental about this giant step. Emily will become a wife and and at some point, a mother. She will have other people relying on her and there will be a new dynamic in our family…and yet will there be? After all, she’ll always be my little girl and I’ll always be her Mom. I am so excited to welcome Nick and his family into ours. He makes my sweet girl so happy and brings so much joy to her life. He is a great friend to my son Freddy and to me.

Emily’s Colorful Custom Bridal Shower

After months of planning, this weekend it was finally time for Emily’s Bridal Shower! On Sunday, the bridesmaids, the Brother of Honor and I hosted the festive gathering. I am so excited to share the details of this lovely occasion!

Throughout the planning process, I have been so creatively energized with custom ideas to make the day extra special. I was thrilled to see these ideas come to life for the shower.

It all started with the invitation. I feel the invitation really sets the stage for the event. For Emily’s shower invitation I hand painted the design with watercolors and then added one of my favorite quotes.

Emily has her second wedding dress fitting this week and I am in full preparation for her Bridal Shower next Sunday.
