High Point Market Fall 2015: Trends and Favorites From Afar
Oct 22 2015 ·0One of the biggest events of the Design Year took place over this past week, the Fall Market at High Point in North Carolina. What is High Point Market? It is “the largest furnishings industry trade show in the world, bringing more than 75,000 people to High Point every six months. Serious retail home furnishings buyers can be found in High Point twice a year because if you can’t find it in High Point…it probably doesn’t exist.”{source}. While I have never attended a High Point Market in person, I can assure you that a visit is on my “Design Bucket List” and is actually in the works for the next Market in April! While I was unable to attend this edition of High Point, lucky for me (and you), many of my design friends and colleagues were there and documented their finds on social media. I thought it would be fun to share some of my picks for Trends and Faves from High Point ~ even if I was 900 miles away. Come take a peek…
Boston Design Market 2015 at the Boston Design Center
Oct 16 2015 ·0Last week featured the annual Boston Design Market (aka Design Days) at the Boston Design Center. One of my goals is to be current for my clients so we can create cutting edge spaces.
Larger Than Light Trend Watch Feature
Feb 26 2015 ·0Part of my job as an Interior Designer and Design Blogger is to continually educate myself about our industry, particularly in the areas of products and trends. This is something I pride myself on and very much enjoy. So I was thrilled when Littman Brands asked me to be part of their Larger Than Light, Winter 2015 issue Trend Watch column.

Nov 01 2013 ·0High Point Market in High Point, NC bills itself as The World’s Home for Home Furnishings ~ and it’s hard to argue! With over 11.5 million square feet of showroom space, High Point is huge. The High Point Market is the largest furnishings industry trade show in the world, bringing more than 75,000 people to High Point every six months. Serious retail home furnishings buyers can be found in High Point twice a year because if you can’t find it in High Point…it probably doesn’t exist. (via) Recently, several of my interior designer friends attended the Fall Market as StyleSpotters. StyleSpotters are “trendsetters that see ahead of the curve in home fashion trends.” What they found at High Point is amazing. The Look at Boston Design Center
Oct 09 2013 ·3The annual The Look event was held last week at the Boston Design Center. This is one of the most exciting days of the entire year at the BDC where new trends and products in interior design and color are highlighted in a day full of special events and speakers. The vibe is very similar to the Fashion Week that Boston just celebrated.
To start the day off right, I was invited to Club 342 for Bubbles and Breakfast. It was a true feast that made the 1-1/2 hour commute in traffic worth every minute! What better way to begin the day than with a mimosa~ and these yummy choices…
