A Painting & A Poem: Apple Pie Tonight?
Jan 30 2017 ·0I am still floating in bliss thanks to a heavenly weekend spent in Philadelphia with Emily, Nick, & the star of my heart, Daisy! Not waking up to Daisy’s beautiful face this morning was difficult but painting class with Diane Panarelli Miller helped ease the blow. It was great to be back with such a skillful and gifted teacher. Painting apples today had me dreaming of apple pie…
A Poem & A Painting: First Snow
Dec 12 2016 ·0We woke up to our first snow of the season here south of Boston ~ sort of. It snowed late last night but by this morning it had changed to rain and we had our first slush of the season 😉 . I think a painting of a lamb in snow is much more picturesque than a lamb in slush, don’t you?…
A Poem & A Painting: Purple Christmas Ornament
Dec 05 2016 ·0I’ve been busy in the studio this weekend, creating 4″x 4″ paintings for an event at La Petite Maison in Hingham this Wednesday evening. I love adding gold gilt to my paintings ~ it provides the perfect amount of glam and glitz. What could be better for the holiday season? Perhaps purchasing a petite ornament painting as a hostess gift 🙂 …
A Poem & A Painting: Crossing Ahead
Nov 28 2016 ·0The end of the year and the holiday season is officially upon us. Time seems to speed up between Thanksgiving and New Year’s ~ much like a train barreling down the tracks. I will try to do my best to enjoy this season with grace and gratitude, stopping to recognize everything from simple pleasures to the greatest blessings. One of the reasons I picked this painting for today was because in addition to being an actual railroad crossing, I see it as symbolizing crossing over into the Christmas season ~ and also the signal pole is reminiscent of a candy cane 😉 .
A Poem & A Painting: Cozy Corner
Nov 14 2016 ·0Slowly but surely my home is coming together after being turned upside down thanks to unplanned renovations due to water damage. I have been working hard (thank goodness for my dear friend and installer Paul!) and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is next week ~ fingers crossed, I think I’ll be ready to welcome guests into my home!
A Poem & A Painting: In Progress
Nov 07 2016 ·0Now that November is here it seems the sprint to the end of the year and the holidays is in full swing. I have been painting like crazy getting ready for a Girls Just Wanna Paint art show. We have an exhibition opening reception on November 30th, 6-8pm at the South Shore Natural Science Center in Norwell. Meanwhile, I am juggling several Interior Design projects including several changes in my own home. And yes, I am hosting a Thanksgiving dinner for 10(!). Wish me luck getting everything completed on time!
A Poem & A Painting: Speckled Brown Hen
Oct 10 2016 ·0We had some much needed rain this weekend and it made for some wonderful time in my art studio. It was an enjoyable break from the nonstop pace of the Boston Design Market last week at the Boston Design Center. Once again, I attended several informative seminars and met a host of wonderful people. I’m sure I’ll have more to share on that soon!
I also thoroughly enjoyed the opening of my Art Exhibit at the newly renovated FDO Group showroom ~ it is stunning! Thank you to those who were able to make it to the reception and thank you to everyone at FDO, your support is so appreciated! My artwork will be on display throughout October (Suite 313) so if you didn’t make it to the opening, you can still see the show. The Boston Design Center is open to the public and a great spot to gather inspiration (and a bite to eat).
This week’s painting and poem have a bit of a whimsical feel ~ I hope you get a kick out of it!
A Poem & A Painting: Lovebirds
Sep 26 2016 ·0Here we are, the last few days of the 30 Paintings in 30 Days challenge! In some ways the time has flown by, in other ways it seems as if this month as been endless. I’ve been busy with Interior Design projects, travel, painting (for this challenge and an upcoming exhibit!), and putting the finishing touches on the new Pamela Copeman Art website. I can’t wait to share! In the meantime, today’s painting features one of my favorite subjects ~ birds. What’s more sweet than Lovebirds…
A Poem & A Painting: I Could Kiss You…
Sep 19 2016 ·0Inspired by my granddaughter Daisy, I am introducing new subject matter line for my paintings. Children’s Paintings are a bit more whimsical and lighthearted while still featuring vibrant colors, sophistication, and my signature “Pamela Copeman Art” style. I recently completed the first painting in this series, a giraffe with a crown, as part of the 30 Paintings in 30 Days challenge…
A Poem & A Painting: A Daisy Crown for Daisy
Aug 01 2016 ·0This week’s painting is a special one ~ perhaps you can tell from the title. The latest challenge for Girls Just Wanna Paint was Daisies. It was so sweet of these artist to pick something near and dear to my heart. I am so thankful for their prayers, love and support! I chose to do a Daisy crown. When I was a girl, my Mom made made me a crown out of Lily of the Valley for my birthday. When I wore it I felt regal. I carried on this tradition by making dandelion crowns for my Em (we had an abundance of them in our grass..). Now I am blessed to be able to make Daisy crowns for
my granddaughter Daisy.
A Poem & A Painting: Eggs For Breakfast, Anyone?
Jun 27 2016 ·0Once again I’ve been drawn to my watercolors lately. I really enjoy the spontaneity and freedom that comes with simplicity of watercolor paints, a pen, and my sketchbook. This week’s subject is also a simple one ~ eggs. Remember when we all thought eggs just came in two colors, brown & white (except at Easter of course)? Thanks to Martha Stewart and the plethora of backyard chickens now being raised, we can all see that eggs come in many beautiful shades. It almost seems a shame to crack them open. Almost…
A Poem & A Painting: Best Friends
Jun 06 2016 ·1This week’s painting was originally created for the latest Girls Just Wanna Paint challenge, “What Women Want”. I am truly blessed and grateful to have so many wonderful and supportive female friends in my life. A heartfelt thank you to all my “BFFs”! What more could a woman want…
A Poem & A Painting: Bedside Sisters
May 02 2016 ·1I’ve had the most incredible weekend meeting my precious new granddaughter, Daisy. I am head over heels! I was inspired to create this week’s painting by a photograph that my daughter Emily posted when she was home on bedrest. Her two adorable pups made sure she was following doctor’s orders by placing their sweet heads on the edge of her bed and watching over her while she worked on her computer. They are sure to be wonderful big “sisters” for Daisy as she grows up!

A Painting & A Poem: Christmas Lights
Apr 11 2016 ·0Although the calendar says Spring, this week’s painting is a throwback to Winter. Considering that we had several inches of snow just last week, I think it’s fitting. I love decorating my chandelier with silver and gold ornaments around the holidays. I can’t resist the sparkle and glam! I love the way the light reflects and brightens everything.

30 Paintings in 30 Days, Day 25: Goldilocks Etude Chair
Jan 25 2016 ·0I just love painting furniture, hmmmm, I wonder why? This painting was inspired by Kravet’s Etude chair. Isn’t it exquisite? I’m sure Goldilocks would love to sit here…
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 23, Technicolor Nest

30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 20, Orange Chevron
Jan 22 2016 ·0Playing catch up with the 30 Paintings in 30 Days challenge ~ that’s what wrist surgery will do for you! I’m on the mend now though and looking forward to finishing strong. This painting is the last in my Orange series ~ of course it had to be an Interior!
A Poem & A Painting: Finnegan
Jan 04 2016 ·0So happy I can finally post this Christmas gift painting featuring my furry nephew, Finnegan. Finnegan belongs to my sister Kate and her husband Tim but he has stolen all of our hearts since he entered our lives about a year ago.
