30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 15
Jan 15 2014 ·0Wednesday is always a tough middle-of-the-week day for me. It seems I’m constantly running a bit behind and yet the end of the work week is still quite a ways off. In order to give myself a little bit of a respite, I opted for a truly petite painting of my favorite piece of furniture: the chair.
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 14
Jan 14 2014 ·2Please forgive the glare on this photo, I finished after dark so I couldn’t shoot it in daylight (which makes a big difference ). I found this painting to be very meditative which I needed today…all good!
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 13
Jan 13 2014 ·0Voila, day 13 and I’m barely standing! I loved this photo which I took from a magazine. It is a very full design with books and jars and pillows and all kinds of decorative accessories…
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 11
Jan 11 2014 ·0This one is from my archives. I was working on one with eclipses and was just not satisfied with how it was going. I didn’t want to post a painting that I was not happy with. Let’s see what tomorrow brings after a long, good nights sleep.
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 10
Jan 10 2014 ·0Double Digit Day!
As you may have guessed, my theme for this 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge is Interiors ~ I am an Interior Designer after all. However, today I started figure drawing and painting classes with Dianne Panarelli Miller. So on Fridays I will be posting figures, faces and nudes.
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 9
Jan 09 2014 ·0Today’s painting features a chair designed by Christopher Guy, my favorite furniture designer. I’ve been to his Robert Allen showroom in Las Vegas as well as his showroom at the D&D building in NYC and it is pure fantasy.
I adore his imagination and hope to own one (or more) of his glamorous pieces one day~ hopefully soon!
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 8
Jan 08 2014 ·0What am I thinking?? This one is a bit complicated for a one day challenge, especially with work all day and a night meeting! I wish I could have spent more time on this one, but then again the time restraint is keeping me “loose”.

How to Hang Artwork
Sep 04 2013 ·1Whether you are hanging a photograph, an individual painting or several pieces to create a Gallery Wall, here are some basic guidelines to keep in mind when hanging artwork:
A Blissful Maine Vacation: Boats & Art
Aug 21 2013 ·1Ahhhh, how I wish my vacation had never come to an end! It was wonderful in every way~ my traveling companion planned the perfect trip to Maine that combined both of our passions: boats and art complemented by beautiful landscapes.
We attended the Annual Boat and Home Show in Rockland, Maine. Here are a just a few of the stand out boats:
Pamela’s Posh Picks: Summer Reading

Brizo: Faucets as Art!
Jul 26 2013 ·0These two paintings were created a year ago after my first experience with Brizo and the Blogger19 in the Fall 2012. Since then I have met with several of the women at other conferences and we have become generous colleagues and true friends.

Posh Pinterest Board of the Week: All About MY Art
Jun 03 2013 ·1While this week’s board is entitled ‘All About My Art‘, it doesn’t actually feature my art but rather that of my dear friend, artist Sandy Welch. Sandy has been involved with color since we first met selling lipsticks and eyeshadows with Clinique. Her best use of color is evident when she paints. Her brave use of technicolor shades of pinks, oranges, and yellows are my favorite ~ so vibrant and juicy you can almost taste them!
Come take a peek at a few of my favorite pins (paintings) by artist Sandy Welch…
Pamela’s Posh Picks: Serena & Lily Sheets
May 16 2013 ·0This week’s Posh Picks features luxurious sheet pairings from Serena & Lily. I just adore Serena & Lily sheets ~ not only are they uber soft and comfortable, but the quality is terrific and the packaging (a wonderful drawstring bag that I will re-use for packing shoes when I travel) is adorable! While you can of course select your favorite pattern and purchase a complete sheet set, I prefer to mix and match patterns and colors for a more customized, colorful look.

Pamela’s Posh Picks: Hot Seats from Janus et Cie
May 02 2013 ·0It’s been a beautiful stretch of weather here in the Boston area which means I’m spending more and more time outside on my terrace. While I love all of my current outdoor seating, I can’t help but take a peek at the offerings from my favorite source for outdoor furniture: Janus et Cie. Janus et Cie is the premiere resource for outfitting your deck, terrace or patio. Their designs are contemporary, elegant, and…hot!
Here are this week’s Posh Picks for Hot Seats…
Pamela’s Posh Picks: Brizo Kitchen Faucets
Apr 25 2013 ·2During a renovation, particularly a kitchen project, both the client and interior designer invest a huge amount of time in making choices for the space. Cabinetry, flooring, appliances, textiles, pulls and knobs ~ the list goes on and on. One of the final details to be selected for a kitchen is often the faucet. While it can be tempting to skimp in this area, both in consideration and budget, I urge you not to. A faucet, whether SmartTouch or traditional, is a tactile element and can literally improve the quality of life of those who use it regularly by making mundane tasks easier and more beautiful. If you are planning a kitchen renovation, strongly consider making your faucet a featured design element ~ you won’t regret it!
This week’s Posh Picks are faucets from my favorite manufacturer: Brizo. No one combines form and function more beautifully than Brizo…
Paint Like Van Gogh
Dec 20 2012 ·0I mentioned in yesterday’s post that my painting group’s next challenge topic is Paint Like Matisse, inspired by our trip to the Met. I thought you might enjoy seeing my painting from last month’s challenge at Girls Just Wanna Paint, Paint Like Van Gogh.
