A Visit to the Fortuny Museum, Venice, Italy

One of my favorite surprises from BlogTourMilan was the discovery and tour of the Fortuny Museum in Venice with Christina Gregorin of Slow Venice Tours.
Matisse at the Met
Dec 19 2012 ·0While visiting NYC a couple of weeks ago I had the great pleasure of viewing the Matisse exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum during the member’s preview. The exhibit spanned his career and included paintings in pairs, trios and series. Matisse (1869-1954) was continually trying, as he put it, “to push further and deeper into true painting”. Along with my friend and fellow artist Page, we explored the exhibit, Matisse: In Search of True Painting.
Chicago: Neighborhoods, Museums & All That Jazz
Oct 17 2012 ·0Another weekend, another weekend trip for me. This trip however was extra special as I traveled to Chicago to visit my son Fred. He just relocated there and he couldn’t wait to show off his new city to me ~ and I couldn’t wait to see it!
