Feb 13 2014 ·0I am thrilled to share that I am among the Honorees selected by the ASID New England Chapter for 2014!
A Poem & A Painting: Pears
Feb 03 2014 ·0While the calendar may have flipped to February over the weekend, it is still the beginning of the New Year for Pamela Copeman Design Group. With the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge completed for January, it’s time to shake things up a bit! I’ve been hard at work behind the scenes with my team and we’ve dreamed up some new features for Posh Palettes this year which I am excited to be introducing over the course of the next couple of weeks…
30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge: Wrapping Up & Looking Ahead
Jan 31 2014 ·1What a way to jump start the year artistically: attempting to paint 30 Paintings in 30 Days!
I have been listening to Leslie Saeta and her podcasts on Artists Helping Artists for well over a year now. I have long been intrigued by the concept of her 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge. Prior to each new Challenge, Leslie shares an outline on how to prepare for the month. Her plan includes the obvious:
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 30!!
Jan 30 2014 ·0This painting is based on a Ralph Lauren ad campaign that I loved this past Fall. I can’t believe this is my last painting for the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge! Whew!
Tomorrow I will post my thoughts as I reflect back on this experience and also collage of all my works (if I can figure out how to do that!).
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 29
Jan 29 2014 ·0I loved painting this piece. Maybe because the composition is more detailed, maybe because of the colors or maybe because I can visualize myself in this chair breathing in the fragrance of the fleurs sipping a glass of champagne….
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 28
Jan 28 2014 ·0On one hand, I love the crowded furniture in this scene.
On the other hand, I am not thrilled with the figure. Thank goodness I am taking a figure painting class!
I also decided to add an abstract version of this painting. My question to you, “to abstract or not to abstract?”…
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 22
Jan 22 2014 ·0I love light fixtures, some might say it is a fetish! I even have a chandelier in my closet, doesn’t everyone? Not surprisingly, I also adore painting them. This one is very loose, I hope you like as much as I do…

The Best Client in the World (or close to it)!
Dec 11 2013 ·1Every Interior Designer deserves to have at least one client like Gina~she makes up for all the more “demanding” ones. Oh heck, it’s time for Christmas wishes, all of our clients should be like Miss G ;-)!
When Gina & I first met years ago over a rosebush in my yard, I was NOT designer attired ~ in fact I was a disgrace to our family (as my daughter often told me) when I was in my beautiful garden. I just couldn’t wait to get into the dirt and see what magic had happened overnight. So I usually grabbed a tank top and pedal pushers (before they were in fashion as chic capris). If you were really lucky, you could catch me in my nightgown with a cup of coffee in my hands, deadheading… oh my, I digress.
Furn & Co
Nov 13 2013 ·0This past week I attended a seminar at Furn & Co. at the Boston Design Center. Before the presentation started, I took a self-guided tour around the showroom and fell “head over heels” with every nook, corner and display in the store. It is maaaahvelous!
Furn & Co is a multiline showroom featuring textiles, wallcoverings, furniture, lighting, and accessories from around the world. Most of the pieces can be customized just for you and the decorative pieces can be taken home immediately!
“Furn & Co is able to…bring artistic expression into a room that melds the mind with the art”. Come and take a peek…
Pamela’s Posh Picks: High Point Market, Fall 2013
Nov 01 2013 ·0High Point Market in High Point, NC bills itself as The World’s Home for Home Furnishings ~ and it’s hard to argue! With over 11.5 million square feet of showroom space, High Point is huge. The High Point Market is the largest furnishings industry trade show in the world, bringing more than 75,000 people to High Point every six months. Serious retail home furnishings buyers can be found in High Point twice a year because if you can’t find it in High Point…it probably doesn’t exist. (via) Recently, several of my interior designer friends attended the Fall Market as StyleSpotters. StyleSpotters are “trendsetters that see ahead of the curve in home fashion trends.” What they found at High Point is amazing. This week’s Posh Picks feature some of my favorite furniture pieces from some of my favorite StyleSpotters!
A Visit to the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, Part 2
Oct 16 2013 ·1Continuing on with our tour of the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, I have more pictures of more beautiful spaces to share!
First stop, this “tented” atrium area. I love the connection with the outdoor green space here along with the zippy Jonathan Adler fabric on the pillows.
Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, Part 1
Oct 15 2013 ·0Last week I traveled to New York with fellow Boston-area interior designer and friend, Laurie Gorelick, to preview the newly renovated Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. It was the most spectacular makeover I could have imagined!
As you may know, the Ronald McDonald House is a haven for families, a home-like place to stay while their child is receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital. There are many Ronald McDonald Houses all over the country including one here in Boston.
This particular Ronald McDonald House on Long Island was started in 1981 under the leadership Lyn Jurick, a powerhouse of a woman, who is still involved to this day. She had the help of many, including her designers William Diamond and Anthony Baratta. The house has served many families over the years and was in need of some tender loving care.
Posh Pinterest Board of the Week: Beautiful Brunschwig & Fils
Oct 14 2013 ·0Inspired by my visit to their showroom at the Boston Design Center last week and all their amazingly detailed and colorful fabrics, this week’s Posh Pinterest board is my very own Beautiful Brunschwig & Fils!
Here are a few of my favorite pins…
The Look at Boston Design Center
Oct 09 2013 ·3The annual The Look event was held last week at the Boston Design Center. This is one of the most exciting days of the entire year at the BDC where new trends and products in interior design and color are highlighted in a day full of special events and speakers. The vibe is very similar to the Fashion Week that Boston just celebrated.
To start the day off right, I was invited to Club 342 for Bubbles and Breakfast. It was a true feast that made the 1-1/2 hour commute in traffic worth every minute! What better way to begin the day than with a mimosa~ and these yummy choices…
Posh Pinterest Board of the Week: Color Combos
Sep 30 2013 ·2I am fortunate to have met and become friends with so many talented women through my trips with the Brizo Blogger 19. This week’s featured pinner is another of these women: interior designer Stacy Naquin.
Posh Pinterest Board of the Week: Interior Details
Sep 23 2013 ·1This week’s Pinterest board comes from a pinner I’ve featured before, the lovely and talented Christy Davis. You could say that I’m smitten with her style and her Pinterest boards! Today I’m swooning over Christy’s Interior Details board. Just like Christy, this board is young, hip, and chic with a touch of bohemian. The Interior Details board has pins that range from European to contemporary ~ eclectic and full of surprises much like Christy!
Posh Pinterest Board of the Week: Under Renovation by Jeffrey Alan Marks
Sep 09 2013 ·2Interior Designer Jeffrey Alan Marks is one of my favorites from Bravo’s Million Dollar Decorators.
His designs are fresh yet timeless and he has a knack for incorporating unique pieces, from artwork to light fixtures to furniture, into his designs. I had the opportunity to meet Jeffrey Alan Marks and his partner Ross Cassidy at HD Buttercup during a hosted event at the Design Bloggers Conference in Los Angeles this past Spring. I can attest that he is just as delightful, charming and handsome in person as he is on the show! This week’s Posh Pinterest board features Jeffrey Alan Marks’ (Under Renovation) Park Avenue board.
