Ralph Lauren at Greenwich, CT
Nov 19 2013 ·0Last week on my way to NYC, I visited Greenwich, CT. The highlight was a stroll down “The Avenue” in downtown Greenwich, a collection of upscale shops, local boutiques and restaurants, and flagships of national stores. The shop windows were dressed for the season and beckoning me to enter…how could I resist??
Come tour the Ralph Lauren flagship store with me…
Posh Pinterest Board of the Week: Antique With Modern
Nov 18 2013 ·0I love a good contrast, the visual friction that contrast creates is a key element in a good design ~ whether in an interior space or a piece of artwork. This week’s Posh Pinterest board features pins that highlight the contrast of old and new in interiors: Antique With Modern.
Here are a few of my favorite pins…
Furn & Co
Nov 13 2013 ·0This past week I attended a seminar at Furn & Co. at the Boston Design Center. Before the presentation started, I took a self-guided tour around the showroom and fell “head over heels” with every nook, corner and display in the store. It is maaaahvelous!
Furn & Co is a multiline showroom featuring textiles, wallcoverings, furniture, lighting, and accessories from around the world. Most of the pieces can be customized just for you and the decorative pieces can be taken home immediately!
“Furn & Co is able to…bring artistic expression into a room that melds the mind with the art”. Come and take a peek…

Pamela’s Posh Picks: High Point Market, Fall 2013
Nov 01 2013 ·0High Point Market in High Point, NC bills itself as The World’s Home for Home Furnishings ~ and it’s hard to argue! With over 11.5 million square feet of showroom space, High Point is huge. The High Point Market is the largest furnishings industry trade show in the world, bringing more than 75,000 people to High Point every six months. Serious retail home furnishings buyers can be found in High Point twice a year because if you can’t find it in High Point…it probably doesn’t exist. (via) Recently, several of my interior designer friends attended the Fall Market as StyleSpotters. StyleSpotters are “trendsetters that see ahead of the curve in home fashion trends.” What they found at High Point is amazing. This week’s Posh Picks feature some of my favorite furniture pieces from some of my favorite StyleSpotters!
Brunschwig & Fils at the Boston Design Center
Oct 29 2013 ·0A couple of weeks ago during The Look event at the Boston Design Center, Bruscshwig & Fils introduced two new lines to its fabric collection, Tresors de Jouy and Hommage.
David Toback, Design Director for B&F, was a most enthusiastic speaker and truly loves his fabric. And I fell in love with it too, it is lush, colorful and historic.
Pamela’s Posh Picks: Dressing Tables
Oct 18 2013 ·0For me, Dressing Tables evoke images of Old Hollywood glamour. I can just picture a beautiful starlet sitting at her dressing table in front of a three sided mirror carefully powdering her nose. In today’s spaces, a Dressing Table is a perfect opportunity to add a hint of luxury to a Master Suite. Whether positioned in the bedroom, the bathroom or even the master closet, a contemporary dressing table offers a spot to gather oneself and prepare to face the day ~ and of course add a dash of glam!
Here are my Posh Picks for Dressing Tables…
Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, Part 1
Oct 15 2013 ·0Last week I traveled to New York with fellow Boston-area interior designer and friend, Laurie Gorelick, to preview the newly renovated Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. It was the most spectacular makeover I could have imagined!
As you may know, the Ronald McDonald House is a haven for families, a home-like place to stay while their child is receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital. There are many Ronald McDonald Houses all over the country including one here in Boston.
This particular Ronald McDonald House on Long Island was started in 1981 under the leadership Lyn Jurick, a powerhouse of a woman, who is still involved to this day. She had the help of many, including her designers William Diamond and Anthony Baratta. The house has served many families over the years and was in need of some tender loving care.

The Look at Boston Design Center
Oct 09 2013 ·3The annual The Look event was held last week at the Boston Design Center. This is one of the most exciting days of the entire year at the BDC where new trends and products in interior design and color are highlighted in a day full of special events and speakers. The vibe is very similar to the Fashion Week that Boston just celebrated.
To start the day off right, I was invited to Club 342 for Bubbles and Breakfast. It was a true feast that made the 1-1/2 hour commute in traffic worth every minute! What better way to begin the day than with a mimosa~ and these yummy choices…

Pamela’s Posh Picks: Bookcase Design
Sep 20 2013 ·0One of my takeaways from Krissa Rossbund’s talk about ‘What’s Traditional Now’ was the advice to live with books and decorate with them. Decorating with books often means liberating them from a ho-hum bookshelf and incorporating them into your room design. This week’s Posh Picks feature some great ways to display your beloved books through unique Bookcase Design!
Posh Pinterest Board of the Week: Traditional Home
Sep 16 2013 ·1This week’s featured Posh Pinterest board highlights not just one Pinterest board, but pins from several different boards curated by the staff at Traditional Home magazine. Posh Pinterest Board of the Week: Under Renovation by Jeffrey Alan Marks
Sep 09 2013 ·2Interior Designer Jeffrey Alan Marks is one of my favorites from Bravo’s Million Dollar Decorators.
His designs are fresh yet timeless and he has a knack for incorporating unique pieces, from artwork to light fixtures to furniture, into his designs. I had the opportunity to meet Jeffrey Alan Marks and his partner Ross Cassidy at HD Buttercup during a hosted event at the Design Bloggers Conference in Los Angeles this past Spring. I can attest that he is just as delightful, charming and handsome in person as he is on the show! This week’s Posh Pinterest board features Jeffrey Alan Marks’ (Under Renovation) Park Avenue board.
Pamela’s Posh Picks: Fine Art Framing
Sep 06 2013 ·1Whether you’re looking for Classic Elegance or Clean-lined Modern, the right frame should always complement the artwork it surrounds. Frame choice should not be based on the interior design of a space or the wall color ~ let the artwork speak for itself! With that in mind, this week’s Posh Picks feature choices for Fine Art Framing…
