Chihuly Garden and Glass in Seattle
Jul 29 2015 ·0As you may know if you follow me on Instagram (you should!), I was recently in Seattle for a few days with my son. If you’re a follower of my blog, you probably also know that I am a huge fan of Dale Chihuly, the legendary and innovative glass artist. I have written about my admiration of Chihuly’s work several times in the past (read here, here) including my visit to his grand installation at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston a few years ago.
Naturally when I knew I would be in Seattle, home of the Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit, I knew it would be one of our first stops. The entire installation was stunning and did not disappoint! Come take a peek at some of my favorite photos from our visit…

Chandeliers of Venice & Milan
May 08 2014 ·0If you know me or if you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time, you know I have a Chandelier fetish (oh, and also a shoe fetish, but that’s a different post!) I simply adore chandeliers of all shapes and sizes. In my own home, I have pendant fixtures in closets and hallways, a crystal chandelier over my dining table and a chandelier on my deck. Wait, doesn’t everyone?? In my humble opinion, everyone should!
Perhaps I love chandeliers because they are romantic, perhaps I love them because I delivered morning newspapers when I was young and I was afraid of the dark, or perhaps I love them simply because they are works of art and I am entranced by the way they sparkle and create patterns on the ceiling. Pamela’s Posh Picks: Chihuly at the Atlanta Botanical Garden

I am so looking forward to seeing my blogging buddies, hearing great speakers and seeing a little slice of Atlanta. While I probably won’t be visiting the Atlanta Botanical Garden on this trip, it’s definitely on my list for a future trip. In fact, I’d love to go if they ever bring back the Chihuly in the Garden exhibit that originally ran in 2004. During this exhibit, the majesty of Dale Chihuly’s glass was showcased with the inspiring plant collections of the Garden. Sounds amazing!
