Jun 06 2018 ·3Do you love container gardens? I’ve always enjoyed selecting colorful and unique plant combinations for containers, even when I had a larger yard. Now that my deck is my only outdoor space, my container gardens have become even more of a focal point.
Chihuly Garden and Glass in Seattle
Jul 29 2015 ·0As you may know if you follow me on Instagram (you should!), I was recently in Seattle for a few days with my son. If you’re a follower of my blog, you probably also know that I am a huge fan of Dale Chihuly, the legendary and innovative glass artist. I have written about my admiration of Chihuly’s work several times in the past (read here, here) including my visit to his grand installation at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston a few years ago.
Naturally when I knew I would be in Seattle, home of the Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit, I knew it would be one of our first stops. The entire installation was stunning and did not disappoint! Come take a peek at some of my favorite photos from our visit…

Her brave use of technicolor shades of pinks, oranges, and yellows are my favorite ~ so vibrant and juicy you can almost taste them!
Come take a peek at a few of my favorite pins (paintings) by artist Sandy Welch…

Apr 24 2013 ·1Recently I visited a nursery while on the hunt for flowers to fill my terrace planters. As it seems I am every year, I was struck by the color and variety of the pansies. Pansies truly are the star of Early Spring and their beauty and perseverance seem appropriate for today as sunshine returns to our skies and people return to Boylston Street in Boston…
