A Poem & A Painting: Soup’s On
Nov 21 2016 ·0Here we are at Thanksgiving week! Things have been hectic around here lately, with client projects, business projects, and personal projects 🙂 . I’m grateful for all of it of course! I am also grateful for the chance to slow down and enjoy time with family and friends on Thanksgiving. This year has brought so many blessings and I am so grateful…
A Painting & A Poem: Autumn Apples
Oct 31 2016 ·0Is there anything more quintessentially Fall than apples? Ok, perhaps pumpkins or colorful leaves but especially here in New England, nothing says Fall like biting into a crisp, delicious apple that has been freshly picked from a local orchard. This week’s painting captures a bounty of Autumn’s tastiest harvest ~ accented by some of my favorite, not traditionally “Fall”-like, colors…

A Painting & A Poem: Sunflowers & Zinnias
Sep 12 2016 ·0Fall is in the air this morning and even the flowers are signaling that the days of Summer are starting to fade. Gone are June’s peonies, making room for the mums, sunflowers, and zinnias in the hues of Autumn. A Poem & A Painting: Autumn Bouquet
Nov 09 2015 ·0Over Halloween weekend I was fortunate to be able to spend a wonderful weekend in Nantucket with equally wonderful friends. Our hostess, my dear friend Sandy, once again opened her home to us and showered us with her hospitality. She had the most stunning Autumnal arrangement and I was inspired to paint a watercolor interpretation of it as a token of my thanks. I continue to travel with my watercolors and love how easy they are to use whenever the moods strikes.

A Poem & A Painting: An Apple For Teacher
Sep 08 2015 ·0While Labor Day may mark the unofficial end to Summer, it certainly doesn’t feel like it around here. The temperatures are forecast to be in the 90s today ~ we are in the midst of a New England heat wave! Despite the heat, there are signs that Fall is on the way, the biggest of which is that school is back in session. I have so much gratitude for the many fine teachers who helped guide my children over the years.
Happy Thanksgiving!
