Cape Cod Golf Course Condo: The Bedrooms
Jul 15 2016 ·0I recently completed a project with the most wonderful client. She is a single professional woman who works with facts and figures in her career. That no-nonsense mindset is softened by her kind spirit, most amazing jewelry, and willingness to add color, pattern, and exquisite custom touches in the design of her weekend getaway. She has traveled extensively in Europe (particularly Greece and Italy) and wanted to incorporate her European style and treasured artwork into this new-to-her space. I had the best time working on this Cape Cod Golf Course condo project and believe the end result is a collaboration that truly reflects my client and her personality.
Over the course of several months, we transformed nearly every inch of this previously bland, beige, and boring condo. To begin our tour, come take a peek at the bedrooms…

Jan 22 2014 ·0I love light fixtures, some might say it is a fetish! I even have a chandelier in my closet, doesn’t everyone? Not surprisingly, I also adore painting them. This one is very loose, I hope you like as much as I do…

The Best Client in the World (or close to it)!
Dec 11 2013 ·1Every Interior Designer deserves to have at least one client like Gina~she makes up for all the more “demanding” ones. Oh heck, it’s time for Christmas wishes, all of our clients should be like Miss G ;-)!
When Gina & I first met years ago over a rosebush in my yard, I was NOT designer attired ~ in fact I was a disgrace to our family (as my daughter often told me) when I was in my beautiful garden. I just couldn’t wait to get into the dirt and see what magic had happened overnight. So I usually grabbed a tank top and pedal pushers (before they were in fashion as chic capris). If you were really lucky, you could catch me in my nightgown with a cup of coffee in my hands, deadheading… oh my, I digress.
Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, Part 1
Oct 15 2013 ·0Last week I traveled to New York with fellow Boston-area interior designer and friend, Laurie Gorelick, to preview the newly renovated Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. It was the most spectacular makeover I could have imagined!
As you may know, the Ronald McDonald House is a haven for families, a home-like place to stay while their child is receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital. There are many Ronald McDonald Houses all over the country including one here in Boston.
This particular Ronald McDonald House on Long Island was started in 1981 under the leadership Lyn Jurick, a powerhouse of a woman, who is still involved to this day. She had the help of many, including her designers William Diamond and Anthony Baratta. The house has served many families over the years and was in need of some tender loving care.

Pamela’s Posh Picks: Serena & Lily Sheets
May 16 2013 ·0This week’s Posh Picks features luxurious sheet pairings from Serena & Lily. I just adore Serena & Lily sheets ~ not only are they uber soft and comfortable, but the quality is terrific and the packaging (a wonderful drawstring bag that I will re-use for packing shoes when I travel) is adorable! While you can of course select your favorite pattern and purchase a complete sheet set, I prefer to mix and match patterns and colors for a more customized, colorful look.

Diary of an Interior Designer: Cape Cod Seaside Home, Master Bedroom Suite
May 14 2013 ·0The Master Bedroom Suite, or Owner’s Retreat, is an increasingly popular space to lavish fabulous design on. To that point, Master Bedrooms are always among the most popular spaces in a Show House and clients are eager to have an interior designer work their magic in this space. The owners of this home were no exception.
This international couple wanted a soothing area away from the rest of the bedrooms. Well located on the first floor, just steps to the pool and with an inspiring ocean view, we had an ideal space to work with…

Diary of an Interior Designer: Cape Cod Seaside Home, The Guest Bedrooms
May 07 2013 ·1“The ornaments of your house will be the guests who frequent it”
~ Author Unknown
When we last checked in at our Cape Cod seaside home, I shared with you the transformation of the Children’s Suite. Well, this luxurious home boasts three additional guest rooms in the main house. Even though each bedroom has water views, we opted for a more sophisticated design that compliments the blue of the sky and the water with a reference to sand and seashells. Come take a peek…
