I have been wonderfully busy with design projects, a drawing class, wedding planning with my daughter, and of course getting ready to head west for BlogTour Vegas. Phew! As busy as I’ve been, there’s still plenty that Caught My Eye this week. Come take a peek…

Dec 29 2014 ·0I’m still enjoying the holiday break with family and friends (hello, NYC and Broadway!) but wanted to pop in here to revisit a few of my favorite posts from 2014. It was another whirlwind year for Pamela Copeman Design Group, with projects and opportunities I never could have imagined…

A Poem & A Painting: Comfort
Dec 01 2014 ·0“Comfort is not just about whether a chair feels good to sit in.
It’s about being comfortable in all aspects of your life.”

As has been well-documented on my blog, I adore everything about Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams. From the products to the craftsmanship to the amazing employees, it’s all top notch. I painted this week’s painting for my friend John Trifone, Director of Sales at Mitchell Gold in Boston. What do you think of my artistic interpretation of a Mitchell Gold room?…

Jun 23 2014 ·1While I was in Guatemala last week (more on that soon, another incredible experience!), my assistant Jen took her daughter and a friend to visit a few colleges in the Carolinas. One of their stops was in Charleston, SC to visit the College of Charleston. While in Charleston, they also had a chance to visit Galerie on Broad, one of the newest galleries in Charleston’s vibrant arts district. I was hoping they would have a chance to stop by as this is a new gallery where my friend, artist Sandy Welch, has recently started showing her work. I am so thrilled for Sandy and I hear her paintings are getting a wonderful reception from visitors to the gallery!

May 22 2014 ·0As I traveled through Italy, time and time again I was struck by the beauty, history and inspiration that were all around me.
And the cheeks. So many cheeks!

I had a wonderful time socializing, admiring (and bidding on) great items in the silent auction, noshing on delicious food, and of course, dancing! A Poem & A Painting: Summer Concert
Mar 03 2014 ·0I’m preparing for my first full day in Atlanta at the Design Blogger’s Conference (follow me on Twitter and Instagram for updates) but once again I have a poem (sort of) and a painting (sort of) to share. I’m all about bending the rules ~ especially when it comes to my blog and my art!
Today I’m sharing a very special mixed media shadowbox piece I created in honor of my son Fred, whose birthday was over the weekend. If you follow my blog, you know he is a musician, and that was the inspiration for this piece and the accompanying poem (ahem, song lyrics ~ shhh, don’t tell).

30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge: Wrapping Up & Looking Ahead
Jan 31 2014 ·1What a way to jump start the year artistically: attempting to paint 30 Paintings in 30 Days!
I have been listening to Leslie Saeta and her podcasts on Artists Helping Artists for well over a year now. I have long been intrigued by the concept of her 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge. Prior to each new Challenge, Leslie shares an outline on how to prepare for the month. Her plan includes the obvious:
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 30!!
Jan 30 2014 ·0This painting is based on a Ralph Lauren ad campaign that I loved this past Fall. I can’t believe this is my last painting for the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge! Whew!
Tomorrow I will post my thoughts as I reflect back on this experience and also collage of all my works (if I can figure out how to do that!).
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 29
Jan 29 2014 ·0I loved painting this piece. Maybe because the composition is more detailed, maybe because of the colors or maybe because I can visualize myself in this chair breathing in the fragrance of the fleurs sipping a glass of champagne….
