A Poem & A Painting: Speckled Brown Hen
Oct 10 2016 ·0We had some much needed rain this weekend and it made for some wonderful time in my art studio. It was an enjoyable break from the nonstop pace of the Boston Design Market last week at the Boston Design Center. Once again, I attended several informative seminars and met a host of wonderful people. I’m sure I’ll have more to share on that soon!
I also thoroughly enjoyed the opening of my Art Exhibit at the newly renovated FDO Group showroom ~ it is stunning! Thank you to those who were able to make it to the reception and thank you to everyone at FDO, your support is so appreciated! My artwork will be on display throughout October (Suite 313) so if you didn’t make it to the opening, you can still see the show. The Boston Design Center is open to the public and a great spot to gather inspiration (and a bite to eat).
This week’s painting and poem have a bit of a whimsical feel ~ I hope you get a kick out of it!
Webster Art Project at Webster & Co., Boston
Nov 19 2015 ·0“You may own the best gadgets, the coolest fashions, and the swiftest cars, but the next generation’s hipper iterations have already been imagined. When all else is replaced, repaired, expired, or obsolete only your paintings will remain and will say the most about who you are and what you value. “

Last week I attended the opening reception for this year’s Webster Art Project at the Webster & Co. Showroom located at the Boston Design Center. David Webster along with Marni Kaufman Katz (freelance writer/editor of Boston magazine) curated artwork by New England artists to display in the showroom. Not only do these vignettes beautifully showcase art pieces in real room settings, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of these works goes to support the Massachusetts College of Art & Design Scholarship Fund. What a genius concept!
Girls Just Want To Paint Art Show at Thayer Academy
Dec 03 2013 ·0Our BIG art showing opening was November 21 at Thayer Academy in Braintree. This art show was a labor of love and took a year of preparation! Not only were we painting but also reserving the space, planning the marketing materials and then working together to make it happen ~ yes, 12 women!
Here are some of the photos of the “hanging” (of the artwork, of course!), before pictures of the gallery as well as some of the event photos. The exhibit is open to the public through December 18, 8am- 3pm Mon.-Fri. The gallery is located in the Southworth Library Building at Thayer Academy, please stop by to see over 120 works of art that are for sale and make perfect for Holiday gifts!
Pamela’s Posh Picks: Door Knockers
Nov 15 2013 ·0Now that the cold weather has arrived, no longer will we be leaving our doors open and hearing the familiar sound of a screen door as it welcomes friends and family ~ not until next Spring anyway! Our guests will have to knock on our doors to let us know they have arrived. Do your guests the favor of saving them from sore knuckles from rapping on your front door, install a stylish Door Knocker instead!
