Double Digit Day!
As you may have guessed, my theme for this 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge is Interiors ~ I am an Interior Designer after all. However, today I started figure drawing and painting classes with Dianne Panarelli Miller. So on Fridays I will be posting figures, faces and nudes.

Today’s painting features a chair designed by Christopher Guy, my favorite furniture designer. I’ve been to his Robert Allen showroom in Las Vegas as well as his showroom at the D&D building in NYC and it is pure fantasy.
I adore his imagination and hope to own one (or more) of his glamorous pieces one day~ hopefully soon!

What am I thinking?? This one is a bit complicated for a one day challenge, especially with work all day and a night meeting! I wish I could have spent more time on this one, but then again the time restraint is keeping me “loose”.

I may not be fully back in “real life” mode yet but I am getting back into painting mode. I’ve decided to kick off 2014 by participating in the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge hosted by artist Leslie Saeta.
The purpose of the challenge is to encourage artists to paint more regularly as well as to develop great painting habits and skills. It is with the belief that if I paint more consistently I will improve that I am undertaking this challenge. I will be sharing each of my 3o paintings here on the blog.

Every Interior Designer deserves to have at least one client like Gina~she makes up for all the more “demanding” ones. Oh heck, it’s time for Christmas wishes, all of our clients should be like Miss G ;-)!
When Gina & I first met years ago over a rosebush in my yard, I was NOT designer attired ~ in fact I was a disgrace to our family (as my daughter often told me) when I was in my beautiful garden. I just couldn’t wait to get into the dirt and see what magic had happened overnight. So I usually grabbed a tank top and pedal pushers (before they were in fashion as chic capris). If you were really lucky, you could catch me in my nightgown with a cup of coffee in my hands, deadheading… oh my, I digress.
