Pamela’s Posh Picks: What Have We Wrought… {Iron}

With my visit to Charleston still fresh in my mind, I thought it might be fun to do this week’s Posh Picks based on one of the most memorable things I saw there: Wrought Iron.
While on a historical tour of the city, I learned that much of the wrought ironwork in Charleston was crafted by Irish immigrants ~ who would’ve thought?! They certainly did some beautiful work…
Of course wrought iron isn’t just used as an architectural detail anymore. Today you can find a range of home accessories crafted of and inspired by wrought iron.
Here are three of my favorites:
Wood and Wrought Iron Ringwald Candelabra by Cyan Design
This candelabra combines wood and wrought iron to create a beautiful rustic chic statement.
I love the organic, contemporary look of this table. The glass top lightens the look of the wrought iron and would be at home in a variety of settings.
Floral Wrought Iron Wall Decor:
The wonderful curves and natural subject matter of this piece remind me so much of the iron work I saw in Charleston. A dimensional piece such as this not only adds texture to a space but also depth. Bonus: you could hang this versatile piece indoors or outdoors and admire its beauty!
Finally, time to cozy up with this week’s petite oil painting…
Have a wonderful long weekend!
xo,
Pamela
