Pamela’s Posh Picks: Table Runners

One of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving (or any holiday, really) is creating a beautiful and festive tablescape ~ so much more fun than cooking! One of the central elements of a great looking holiday table is a Table Runner. For this week’s Posh Picks I’m featuring several designs to fit any style…
Turkey Table Runner from World Market:
Add a dash of whimsy to your table!
“Our printed Turkey Table Runner features a print with a dapperly dressed turkey on each end, bringing the perfect harvest theme to your table display.”
Typographer’s Linen Table Runner from Mark and Graham:
A monogram adds instant panache!
“Ready to entertain & create a classic and coordinated tablesetting… this 100% linen Table Runner has a simple, elegant weave, while the grosgrain ribbon border offers a pop of color.”
Prachi Beaded Table Runner from Neiman-Marcus
This Table Runner is incredible ~ uber-posh!!
“So beautiful you may never want to take it off the table, this stunning table runner features ornate scrolls and stylized floral motifs dressed in shimmering gold and silver hues.”
Chilewich Metallic Lace Table Runner from Macy’s
A touch of glam…
This table runner “brings together stylized netting, metallic foil and abstract shapes for a contemporary pattern that shines. The modern look of this collection is sure to give your table an edge.”
Antique Floral Jacquard Table Runner from Williams-Sonoma
Something a bit more traditional with lovely, understated colors…
“Set a gracious table for special occasions with this elegant runner, decorated with scrolling leaves, blossoms and borders.”
While I love all of these beautiful Posh Picks, you can also get creative with tulle or other fabric. I love doing this as well as using boxes underneath the table runner to elevate the design and create height and interest. How about a plain linen table runner that guests can write on with Sharpies to express what they’re thankful for? Use your imagination and creativity!
Here is my Thanksgiving table from last year…
Note the mix of dishes, the extended table to accommodate family, and the gilded table runner…
I also like to add a sweet gift for each family, it’s unexpected and personal…
Have fun setting your Thanksgiving table this year!
xo,
Pamela
