Pamela’s Posh Picks: New York Fashion Week, 2013

Once again the luminaries and up and comers in the world of fashion took over New York for another edition of the ever amazing New York Fashion Week. This time around designers showcased their collections for Fall 2013. Here are my Posh Picks from some of my favorite designers!

Oscar de la Renta

I love this style and the versatility it affords. This outfit goes easily from upscale workplace to a day out in the city. As someone who is always aware of color, I love seeing bold colors in fashion. The cobalt and teal combination is unique and striking with the fur vest providing the perfect touch of glam.

Marc Jacobs

Everything about this ensemble says chic to me. So easy to wear, a classic coat shape updated with a thin belt. The perfect lines of this coat would look equally beautiful over a skirt, gown or trousers. Once again, a touch of fur (faux or real) glams everything up!

Narcisco Rodriguez

What a great way to wear a suit! The modern shape of the garments coupled with the conservative colors give a modern edge to this ensemble ~ and what perfect proportions. Love it!

Alexander Wang

Who doesn’t love a leather jacket? This interpretation with a lower waist and fur trim add a new, edgy twist. Note the fur center panel in the skirt ~ so posh! One way or another, you are sure to turn heads in this outfit!

Jason Wu

Jason Wu is now and forever my favorite fashion designer. I still pinch myself when I think of the amazing time I had at Fashion Week last fall with Brizo and the Blogger19. Meeting Jason Wu and attending his runway show was a lifetime highlight to be sure!

This beautiful gown incorporates Wu’s familiar feminine touches with a bold lapis luzuli blue color. The long, pleated chiffon skirt and peekaboo lace halter top gown would look outstanding on the Red Carpet or a black tie affair. Simply stunning!

This week’s oil painting also has a fashion theme. This was a fun one for me to paint :).
