Getting Cheeky in Italy

As I traveled through Italy, time and time again I was struck by the beauty, history and inspiration that were all around me.
And the cheeks. So many cheeks!
Traditional, contemporary, humorous and just plain…well, cheeky. Come take a peek at some of the best “cheeks” around Venice and Milan!
This is the shop window that started my fascination with “cheeks”.
I spy Cupid cheeks!
I loved this photograph we saw at the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice. It was part of the “Themes and Variations”, The Empire of Light homage to Fausto Melotti. Another words, artsy cheeks!
Playful cheeks at the Peggy Guggenheim…
Soooo cheeky, lol!
As seen at Countess Barnabo’s {Home of Cheeks}…
Ceiling cheeks:
Cheeks are everywhere ~ even in the china cabinet!
Cherub cheeks on the French coach…
Lounging cheeks in the Countess’ garden
And in the fountains, of course…
Cheeks (and more) on this lovely nude sketch in a gallery window
As seen on an antique piece of furniture. Do “cheeks” ever really go out of style?!
Judging by these antique shop cheeks, I’d say no, never!
This is a cheeky blog post, but I just couldn’t resist!
