Daisy’s Baltimore Baby Shower

As you may know from my previous posts, my newborn granddaughter Daisy is facing several health challenges. I am happy to report that while testing is ongoing, Daisy is thriving at home with Emily and Nick. Daisy is so deeply loved by so many! A few weeks ago I attended an intimate baby shower given for the proud new parents. Hosted by Nick’s mom Julie Anne and a dear family friend, Miss Diane, it was a lovely affair with many heartfelt and thoughtful details. I couldn’t resist sharing a peek…
When we arrived at Miss Diane’s charming home we were ushered into the dining room where the stage was set for The Enchanted Garden themed celebration.
Pink gossamer angel wings and an antique baby carriage filled with daisies ~ how perfect! Not only does Daisy’s name suit her perfectly, it lends itself so well to endless decorating and fashion opportunities. A wonderful name for a designer’s granddaughter :-).
Loved the Daisy cupcakes ~ can you see the hint of sparkle on the petals?
The food was both plentiful and beautiful. These skewers were oh so delicious.
And of course, the gifts. There were several sweet ensembles for Daisy…
including this beautiful outfit from Julie Anne that Nick just adored. I think it might fit Daisy just a bit better though…
This breathtaking handmade cross-stitch quilt from Daisy’s Great-Grandmother is sure to be a cherished keepsake.
Yes, we are all definitely tickled PINK!
While Daisy couldn’t be there, it was wonderful to be surrounded by others who love her and Em & Nick so very much…
To wrap up the delightful fete, we were gifted with these perfectly adorable favor bags with what else ~ pink daisies!
I must mention, Miss Diane, whose home the shower was in, is a follower of my blog and a MacKenzie Childs collector. A woman after my own heart! Pictured here with her wonderful husband Phil, she was wearing a one-of-a-king necklace from MKC which was perfectly beautiful on her.
To Diane, Phil, and Julie Anne, my heartfelt thanks for a beautiful shower and all the hard work, thoughtfulness, and love that went into creating this event! Daisy, Em & Nick are lucky to have you!
xoxo,
Pamela
