Mar 09 2019 ·1In this report from the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, I will be highlighting two more of our generous Designhounds 2019 sponsors, Lamps Plus and Thompson Traders.
While I was familiar with Lamps Plus before KBIS, I learned a lot about their product lines and just what they mean by ‘Plus’! Thompson Traders is one of my favorite vendors, I’ve long admired not only the exquisite craftsmanship of their products but even more so the story and warmth of their family.

New Store Opening: Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams in Natick!
May 21 2015 ·0The brand new Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams Home Furnishings store in Natick is breathtaking. The new building, the new Spring/ Summer pieces and the staff are all, as we’ve come to expect, outstanding. I’ve written several times in the past about my love for Mitchell Gold on my blog (here and here for example). I adore everything about them: their mission statement, the fact that their products are made here in the grand ol USA, and their reasonably priced yet cutting edge designs for all.
Come take a peek at the new Natick store…
Well, Isn’t That Clever… Storage!
Apr 29 2014 ·0While touring the design shows with BlogTour Milan, I was introduced to Clever Storage US by Kesseböhmer. Clever Storage designs and manufactures high-end, innovative organization and storage pieces for the entire home. As it turned out, Clever Storage wasn’t new to me at all. I was actually quite familiar with their products but didn’t realize it because they’d been wearing a disguise…

Best Of Posh Palettes: Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams in Boston
Apr 08 2014 ·0This week while I’m in Italy for BlogTour Milan (#BlogTourMilan and@pamelacopeman on Twitter), I’m reposting some of my favorite and most popular posts from the past. I picked this post in part because Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams is celebrating their 25th Anniversary this year ~ quite an accomplishment! I hope you enjoy!
Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams is a classic modern furniture company offering upholstery, case goods, lighting, carpets and accessories designed to make people feel comfortable. It is a jewel of a company, forward in thinking and design. Not only are they responsible for an amazing product line, the company is also involved in community advocacy and supports many grass roots and national non-profit groups.
Brunschwig & Fils at the Boston Design Center
Oct 29 2013 ·0A couple of weeks ago during The Look event at the Boston Design Center, Bruscshwig & Fils introduced two new lines to its fabric collection, Tresors de Jouy and Hommage.
David Toback, Design Director for B&F, was a most enthusiastic speaker and truly loves his fabric. And I fell in love with it too, it is lush, colorful and historic.
A Touch Of Europe Right Here At Home
Mar 20 2013 ·4Every time I step into the Rolf Benz Showroom at the Boston Design Center, I feel like I am in Milano. Why? Because this space is filled with vignettes replete with European flair. The furniture, mostly sofa arrangements, is low, curved and sexy. The fabrics are lush and sumptuous. The simple design details are appealing to the eye. Of course to fully experience and appreciate the luxury and craftsmanship of the pieces, you must sit down on a Rolf Benz sofa. That is just what I, along with several other designers, did on Tuesday at a special presentation in the Rolf Benz showroom…

Posh Partners: Colony Rug
Jul 19 2011 ·0“Always do more than is required of you.”
~George Patton
As a designer, it is my job to envision a space as it could be. Executing that vision requires the assistance of trusted and skilled partners. Today I’d like to highlight one of my favorite vendors, the wonderful people at Colony Rug.
Colony is a family business with a history of outstanding service. While they sell rugs, they are truly in the business of building relationships. In fact, my relationship with Colony Rug goes back nearly 20 years! Colony is the place for all types of carpet from premier wools to imported rugs with contemporary patterns to commercial carpet and spectacular one-of-a-kind floor coverings. Their workmanship is second to none. Colony creates carpet with perfect, nearly undetectable seams and unique, cut and sewn to fit shapes.
Positively incredible!
For a recent project, the crew from Colony was charged with installing a large carpet in a relatively small area. As usual, they worked with both precision and consideration.
In addition to the space constraints, this space also houses a baby grand piano. With the utmost care, the Colony crew lifted and repositioned the piano, placing it down on the new carpet perfectly.
When working with Colony, Page and the crew aren’t satisfied until the customer is delighted and has had a superior experience. One of the best examples I can give of Colony’s impeccable service occurred when a large quantity of black paint was spilled on a newly installed Colony carpet at one of my design projects. You can only imagine my horror! One call to Colony was all it took to remedy the situation. Within hours they were on-site working their magic. When they were finished, perfection once again!
Excellent selection, expert craftsmanship and unparalleled customer service are all part of what make Colony Rug in Hanover one of my favorite Posh Partners!
xo,
Pamela
