30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 20
Jan 20 2014 ·0This bed is perfect for this special pup, don’t you think? Most especially the chandelier, what every posh pup deserves…
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 19
Jan 19 2014 ·030 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 18
Jan 18 2014 ·0Yes, I know I missed Day 17 ~ not in my life thank God, it was actually a very full day. I just couldn’t paint outside of class. I am sooo disappointed in myself for not completing a painting. However, I did have the chance to do many other wonderful things ~ no regrets! I am back today…kind of. This painting is an old favorite (not a new work)…
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 16
Jan 16 2014 ·0This is a 30 minute painting today. I used another Christopher Guy design as my inspiration and added gold leaf underneath the painting. I love the sheen, do you?
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 15
Jan 15 2014 ·0Wednesday is always a tough middle-of-the-week day for me. It seems I’m constantly running a bit behind and yet the end of the work week is still quite a ways off. In order to give myself a little bit of a respite, I opted for a truly petite painting of my favorite piece of furniture: the chair.
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 14
Jan 14 2014 ·2Please forgive the glare on this photo, I finished after dark so I couldn’t shoot it in daylight (which makes a big difference ). I found this painting to be very meditative which I needed today…all good!
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 13
Jan 13 2014 ·0Voila, day 13 and I’m barely standing! I loved this photo which I took from a magazine. It is a very full design with books and jars and pillows and all kinds of decorative accessories…
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 12
Jan 12 2014 ·0Today’s painting is a bit abstract and depicts a row of yellow Parisian subway seats. I was inspired by a book I received for Christmas from my daughter Emily, Paris in Color.
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 11
Jan 11 2014 ·0This one is from my archives. I was working on one with eclipses and was just not satisfied with how it was going. I didn’t want to post a painting that I was not happy with. Let’s see what tomorrow brings after a long, good nights sleep.
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 10
Jan 10 2014 ·0Double Digit Day!
As you may have guessed, my theme for this 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge is Interiors ~ I am an Interior Designer after all. However, today I started figure drawing and painting classes with Dianne Panarelli Miller. So on Fridays I will be posting figures, faces and nudes.
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 9
Jan 09 2014 ·0Today’s painting features a chair designed by Christopher Guy, my favorite furniture designer. I’ve been to his Robert Allen showroom in Las Vegas as well as his showroom at the D&D building in NYC and it is pure fantasy.
I adore his imagination and hope to own one (or more) of his glamorous pieces one day~ hopefully soon!
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 8
Jan 08 2014 ·0What am I thinking?? This one is a bit complicated for a one day challenge, especially with work all day and a night meeting! I wish I could have spent more time on this one, but then again the time restraint is keeping me “loose”.
30 Paintings in 30 Days: Day 7
Jan 07 2014 ·030 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge: Day 6
Jan 06 2014 ·0Phew, my paintbrushes are getting a workout!
30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge: Day 3
Jan 03 2014 ·1It’s a snowy day here in New England ~ which just so happened to serve as my inspiration for today’s painting…
30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge
Jan 02 2014 ·1I may not be fully back in “real life” mode yet but I am getting back into painting mode. I’ve decided to kick off 2014 by participating in the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge hosted by artist Leslie Saeta.
The purpose of the challenge is to encourage artists to paint more regularly as well as to develop great painting habits and skills. It is with the belief that if I paint more consistently I will improve that I am undertaking this challenge. I will be sharing each of my 3o paintings here on the blog.
