BlogTour Milan: Hotel Reviews

During the week I was in Italy for BlogTour Milan (and Venice) with Modenus, our group enjoyed wonderful accommodations and indulged in some amazing food. Are you planning a trip to Italy? Are you looking for details on where to stay and where to eat? No worries, along with a fab new website from Modenus, Blogtour.co, we have you covered!
Hilton Molino Stucky Hotel, on the island of Guidecca, Venice
I have to admit when I first saw the itinerary I was a bit disappointed that my stay in Venice was at a well known American hotel. I came to find out that it was one of the only locations that could accommodate the number of rooms needed for BlogTourMilan. When I arrived, by boat of course, I discovered that the Hilton Molino Stucky was once a flour mill.
During the renovation, the integrity of the building was kept intact. The result is an endearing property complete with a most fabulous Roof Top Bar with a gorgeous view of Venice.
My room was so romantic and comfortable (that is a definite upside to staying at an American hotel). The bathroom was luxurious, the bed divine, and it faced an open window to the roof tops of this small city. The space was crowned with a Murano chandelier. Ahhhh….
The breakfast was a petite feast with the option of customized eggs, all included. Yummy!
The hotel offered frequent complimentary shuttle service and the staff was most helpful.
My Ratings (on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest):
- Design: 10
- Service: 10
- Location: 10
Art Hotel Navigli, Milan
While in Milano, I laid my head at the Art Hotel Navigli which boasted a great location!
The room in this hotel was much smaller than the one in Venice, much more typical of a European city. The room was clean, and there was space for everything. I had to keep remembering to get the lights to turn on in the room, as well as the air conditioning, you must insert your room card into the interior slot or nothing will work!
This hotel also features first floor lounge with modern art pieces and a lovely outside garden.
The breakfast served was delicious and it was a treat to have American black coffee served in an individual silver pot.
My Ratings:
- Design: 7
- Service: 8
- Location: 8
