A Poem & A Painting: Day 18, Met Ball Orange

I am so taken with the fashion at the Met Ball every year that I was inspired to paint Rihanna’s beautiful gown. I am not sure it translates as well without her radiant face and miles long leg but I love it nonetheless…
The Girls In The Beautiful Gowns & Elegant Dresses
The girls in the beautiful gowns and elegant dresses
are ready to make this night theirs
It seems they waited a long time for it to come
They’re ready to dance
They’re ready to party
They’re ready to shine
They’re ready to feel the wind fly through their hair
Beautiful and elegant
In their jewelry, gowns, and dresses
They sparkle with such radiance
Moonbeams wouldn’t be able to catch up with
their beauty
