A Poem & A Painting: Crowned Bird No. 3
Nov 10 2014 · 0 comments · A Poem & A Painting ·0
Today I have the latest in my series of paintings inspired by a set of dessert plates I recently purchased. I’m finding this week’s poem excerpt particularly appropriate as a new week begins…
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,
And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.
I’ve heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.
Crowned Bird No. 3, 6″ x 6″, oil on board, $150. Please contact me to purchase
I’m loving this series, especially the way two of the paintings look when grouped together…
Just darling.
Here’s to a fresh, new week ~ I hope it’s a good one for all!

Pamela
