A Poem & A Painting: The Countess’ Chandelier

Yes, once again this week’s painting was inspired by the BlogTour Milan trip. And yes, once more it is a chandelier. No apologies, I just loved painting this one!
This particular chandelier was in the Dining Room of the Countess Barbuto’s home in Venice. I actually gasped when I saw it because of its beauty, breadth and the magnitude it gave the room. As for this week’s “poem” (it’s a quote), I couldn’t agree more!…
“Chandeliers are marvels of drop-dead showiness, the jewelry of architecture”
~Peter York
I hope you love these chandeliers as much as I do~ Please let me know!
