Pamela’s Posh Picks: Dreamy Tents
Sep 28 2012 · 0 comments · Posh Picks ·0
Last night I attended yet another affair showcasing amazing fashion, this time at the Opening Night Gala for Boston Fashion Week. The event was held under The Tent at Boston Fashion Week, located in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel courtyard. There’s nothing like an amazing tent to set the stage for a spectacular event, so this week’s Posh Picks are…
Dreamy Tents!
Whether for a wedding, a fashion show, or a festive and fun outdoor gathering, the tents in this week’s Posh Picks highlight some beautiful ideas. Let’s take a peek!
My first Pick is what I’ve dubbed a ‘topless’ tent:
I love the unexpected twist of having an open roof while using the framework to hang dozens of white lights. The sheer draping softens the look, all the while the area is still well-defined and topped off with what surely is an incredible view of the starry night sky.
From no roof to a unique, tiered roof:
I adore the height of this tent and those transom-like windows around the top are a wonderful detail. Once again, sheer draping adds softness and the unique structure envelops the celebration space in a festive cocoon.
I love this whimsical tent:
The circus peaks and cheerful pennant flags alert everyone to the fact that they are about to attend an amazing event. Down below, pops of black on the table runners, elegant chairs and even the chandeliers stand out beautifully in the bright summer sunshine.
Back to a tent dressed for evening:
Here the designers have created an opulent mood and have layered different types of light from candles to twinkle lights. I especially love the indoor starry sky look they’ve achieved by coupling strings of hanging lights.
Finally, a glimpse at the Tent at Boston Fashion Week (before all the excitement of last night):
What’s not to love about all those fab acrylic chairs and moody, colored lighting?
No matter what your event, it seems you can’t go wrong with a dreamy tent!
xo,
Pamela
P.S. Whereas I shared a painting earlier in the week, the petite oil paintings featurette will return next week ~ must get my brushes moving! xxoo
