It’s hard to believe that Labor Day is just a week away! While the Summer days may be waning, paintings inspired by Summer last forever 🙂 . This week’s painting was inspired by a trip to Maine and actually originally appeared in a 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge I did back in September of 2014…
The Rowboat
A storm rages within the sea
A storm rages within you and me
Crest after trough we persevere
In the face of surmounting fear
Through the tempest
Against the rage of the waters
Our rowboat struggles
Yet never falters
In the midst of this horror,
All our hopes are made clear
With these five simple words:
“I’ll row and you steer…”
